“I am not going to school mumma”

The plea was usual but time of the day was surely not!

It was 6 AM and the little guy got up on his own. The “matter” must be serious, I thought

“Why baby”

“Because the ‘Trees’ aren’t grown yet”, sheer disappointment on his face

“Oh yes! But we planted seeds just yesterday afternoon dear. Aren’t they supposed to take time to grow?”

“The whole night has passed mumma, I waited for so long”

I chose to keep mum, best strategy 😉

“Can I water them”, he asked eagerly

“Nooooooooooooooooo! If you do that then those “trees” are going to die due to over watering. You have already watered them thrice since yesterday”, I almost shouted

Poor seeds, I had to save them

“Then what to do now”

“Let us wait and watch”, I smiled and hugged him

The hug fixed things…..only for few moments

“I am still not going mom!”

“Why not now”

“What if they grow while I am at school?”

I just had a second to think of an answer for it to look natural and not framed, motherhood isn’t an easy task I tell you 😛

“They won’t baby, because they know you love them”

“Yes I do”, his face beamed with joy

Though I messed up science, I was successful in saving a human to nature bond 😊

And we spent rest of the morning discussing how he is going to buy a “big big garden” and plant seeds all over and grow trees. For now, gardening is our new passion 😃
